The Linux zip and the AppImage contain the same game runtime. The zip is a portable folder that keeps everything inside it; the AppImage is a single read-only file that stores the game and saves in your home folder (or in a .home folder next to it in portable mode). Updating and keeping your saves

Everything a release folder creates stays in its data/ directory: the built game, the prepared game files, saves (data/save), settings, save states and shader caches (data/user) and crash logs. To move to v0.5.1, unzip it next to the old folder, start it, choose your game (the old data/game works in place) and copy your saves and settings across. Hold Shift while starting (Windows, macOS) or use --setup (Linux) to repair or change the game.

GameCube Wind Waker Recomp downloads

elliotttate/Wind-Waker-Recomp has no published releases (0 in the GitHub API on November 8, 2026). Its README says the project is moving into BlueWake: the Windows build is on BlueWake’s Releases page, and Mac, iPhone and iPad builds are made from your own GameCube disc. It needs the USA disc (GZLE01, revision 0); the Wii U HD game cannot be used with it. Differences are on the comparison page.

It asks for a survey, a payment, a password or an “unlock code”.
Its byte size or SHA-256 differs from this page, or the APK’s signing certificate differs.
